What's up with that?

Okay, this has been rattling around inside my head for long enough. I've got to ask: What's up with guys shaving their pits?I'm familiar with professional bodybuilders removing all their body hair for competitions, to better show off their musculature. But lately I've been noticing guys who are NOT bodybuilders shaving their under arms. What's up with that?

I understand that some men benefit from a little 'manscaping' to keep from looking too 'wild' or unkempt, but I'm afraid I have to draw the line at pit shaving. I think it looks feminine, even if the guy has a hot, muscular body. I think men should leave their under arms 'natural', the way God and bear lovers intended. And if you've got chest hair, don't be embarrassed. Embrace your manliness! Lots of people find chest hair attractive and sexy.

I'm really of two minds with this one. On one hand, I agree with you almost completely and find immense appeal in a very furry armpit - all the better to capture those heady male aromas! However, on some guys, especially ones like the pics you posted, I find shaved pits very attractive also.

At the gym over the past few years, I've also noticed that a lot of mostly younger guys are shaving their pubes completely. Here, I definitely prefer some hair, manscaped or no, but on some dudes, the shaved look really works... Me, I've shaved my balls (and just my balls) for years now. Just like the look and feel of it, though I have been toying with the idea of going back au naturel for a while... To each his own :-)

Yeah, I'm with Jeff. I like it both ways. And I believe that's Shane Rollins in the first pic, and frankly he can shave anything, anywhere at any time and I'd still drink his bathwater. That man is hot!!

I'm all for a LITTLE trimming of the pits...I don't want to see Chewbacca coming at me, but then again, I really don't want to see something that looks like an old Va-Jeen.

a nice trimmed lawn to run around on is great.

an overgrown corn field is not.

i haven't noticed the pit thing, but have seen more and more shaving their basements clean.

it looks weird and makes me uncomfortable.

I love either. You can't have a hairy chest and smooth pits. I just love pits.. so give it to me either way

Any shaving is kind of grody to me. Now, I don't mind a slightly trimmed pube forest, but not clearcut. Ew! ANd don't touch the chest or pits!

And Stink Fisher is SO mine, bitch.
