Belated blogiversary

I completely forgot to celebrate my recent blogiversary.  

On 12/28 my blog turned 13 years old!  There have been times (mostly prior to Facebook) where I've spent more time writing really thoughtful posts, and then there have been times where I have 'phoned it in', but I've always striven to keep this blog going.  Not because I think anyone's depending on me to write, or that anything I have to say has much meaning to anyone.  Really, most the stuff I write is little more than entertainment (if that) to others.  But I have on several occasions used my blog to determine when things happened in my life.  If for no other reason I'll continue to keep it going for that.  Hopefully readers will also enjoy it.

Speaking of my blog, you many have noticed there was no New Years resolutions post from me.  Typically I'm a big believer in writing down my intentions for the new year, and making sure they are measureable so I know when I've completed them.  But for whatever reason, this year I just couldn't think of anything new.  The things I want to do/change/improve are really the same as I've written about before.  I should go back to my new years resolutions posts and celebrate the ones I accomplished, AND make a new list of those I haven't.  THAT could be my new years resolutions for 2018!

10th Blogiversary!

Managing milestones is a big part of my job as a realtor, so it is absolutely CRAZY to me that I realized today that I missed acknowledging this blog's 10th blogiversary on Dec 28!

Yep, that's right - I've been blogging since Dec 28, 2004. 

Its kind of hard to believe I've been doing this for 10 years.  My 1st couple of years of posting was just text - no photos.  This was because smart phones hadn't been invented yet or weren't prevalent, and uploading digital photos from the camera to the computer to the blog was tedious.  But the quality of my posts was probably better back then, as I couldn't rely on photos to fill up a post, or BE a post.  I'm going to take a little time and read some of my early writing to provide me with inspiration for better future posts. 

Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting over the years!  Its fun to share my life and thoughts with you guys.  Thanks to blogging I have met quite a few great folks in person whom I consider real friends.  While keeping up my blog isn't always easy or convenient, it feels like a real accomplishment to say I've done it for 10 years now, and have no plans to stop.

Blogiversary

Tomorrow, Sat the 28th is my 9th blogiversary! 

Its hard to believe that I've been doing this for 9 years.  Although I've been posting daily Mon-Fri for the last few years, I didn't always do that. If you'd like to read the post where I introduced myself and Joe here on this blog, click here.

I sincerely appreciate all who return to my blog to read, laugh, and share in the comments.  I've had the pleasure of meeting some of you in person due to this blog so it has definitely been worth the effort to try and find new and interesting things to write about and share.

Now, on to the next 9 years!!

Blogiversary

Today is my 8th blogiversary!

Its hard for me to believe I've been writing this thing for 8 years now.  When I started this blog 8 years ago I really had no idea I would continue it this long. 

There have been times when I've been really proud of my posts and other times when I've been super busy and my posts have suffered.  But such is life, and even during the super busy times I've never considered calling it quits.  Not because I think I'm such a great writer, or because I believe I have important nuggets of wisdom to share, but because I really enjoy blogging as an outlet and as a way of interacting with others.

I can't believe I let my 7th blogiversary go by without a mention last week!

My acutal blogiversary is Dec 28th, last Wed, but I was so busy and pre-occupied at work that it slipped my mind. Its hard to believe I've been doing this for 7 years.

But better late than never, right?

Today is this blog's 6th anniversary, or blogiversary as I like to say. Believe it or not, I have been writing Tales of the Sissy for 6 years now. Its hard for me to believe!

I'd like to thank those of you who 'follow' this blog and those who stop by from time to time. It means a lot to me that you care to read and comment! Obviously what you read here is from my point of view, but I do my best to remain as factual as possible. Sometimes its even entertaining.

That's right, dear readers, today is Tales Of The Sissy's 5th blogiversary!!!

Its true; my very 1st post was on Dec 28, 2004 where I introduced my blog. In the next post I introduced myself and Spouse.

Prior to writing my own blog I was not in the habit of reading blogs. My friend Mike had an online journal (sort of like a blog) on which I used to comment. He liked my stories and way of writing and suggested I start a blog. He introduced me to Blogger.

It was only after I'd begun writing that I started reading and commenting on other blogs. I'm truly grateful for the writers I've gotten to know (yes, you're writers!) through their blogs. Many have shared experiences that have helped me and countless others feel less alone in our situations. Blogging allows us to build a community in which we can find information, humor, support, and friendship.

So now, won't you lift a glass and help me celebrate?
