Stoopid lyrics

Here's another installment of my blog feature 'Stoopid lyrics'. A song's appearance here does NOT mean I think the song is stupid or that I don't like the song. In fact, today's song is one of Spouse's favorites but not necessarily mine. To me the lyrics just don't make sense.

Judge for yourself!

Landslide
performed by Fleetwood Mac

Took my love and I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well, the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?

Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?

Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes bolder, children get older
I'm getting older too

Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes bolder, children get older
I'm getting older too
Well, I'm getting older too

So take this love and take it down
Yeah, and if you climb a mountain and you turn around
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well, the landslide brought down
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well maybe, well maybe, well maybe
The landslide will bring you down

A lot of Fleetwood Mac is gibberish... even when it was agreat sound.

Not stupid at all if you ask me. Stevie Nicks always uses imagery and hidden meaning in her lyrics.

the crush needs chest hair for me to "take him down".

I have always liked this song; don't care if the words have meaning or not. fave lines: "but time makes you bolder, children get older,
I'm getting older too." true dat!

Yeah, I'm not understanding one whit of Stevie Nicks' "artistic" lyrics.
