Spouse & I had a relaxing Sat morning at home, then went to the grocery store. Then my friend Steven came over and we went to the line-up area for the Lewes Christmas parade. Spouse met up with our friends Rick & Nick at Steve & Mike's porch to watch the parade. Spouse took these photos.
Notice the wreath on the front of Big Ella. Its battery-operated and plays 8 different carols and flashes to the beat of the music.A closer look at Big Ella, but this one was taken when the wreath was not flashing.
Steven tossed candy to the kids along the parade route. Afterward Steven went home and Spouse & I had dinner with Rick & Nick. Then we came home and watched a few episodes of "True Blood" on DVD.
Sun morning we met Steven for breakfast. (Thad was out of town visiting his mom.) While we ate we could see flurries coming down! We wound up talking and drinking coffee for 3 1/2 hours. It was nice and relaxing, and we didn't have any place we needed to be. Afterward we went for a little drive. I wanted to go for a walk but it was just too cold and windy. So we returned home and just hung out, watching TV and surfing the internet.
It was a low-key weekend, which was just fine with me.
