Gay Marriage humor

It started a couple years ago with legal gay marriage in MA. Then CA legalized gay marriage, and now NY is recognizing gay marriages performed in other states.

With the rising numbers of gay couples getting married, it shouldn't have surprised me that someone would come up with Gay Wedding Etiquette. Enjoy!
10 Unbreakable Rules of Gay Wedding Etiquette:

1. On the day of the wedding, it's bad luck for the two grooms to see each other at the gym.

2. Superstition suggests that for good luck, the couple should have: something bold, something flirty, something trashy, something dirty.

3. It's customary at gay & lesbian nuptials for the parents to have an open bar during the entire ceremony.

4. Gay wedding tradition dictates that both grooms refrain from eating any of the wedding cake, given the high content of carbs and sugar.

5. It's considered bad luck for either of the grooms to have slept with the priest.

6. During the first dance, it's considered unlucky to use glow sticks, flags, whistles and hand-held lasers.

7. For good luck at the union of a drag queen, the bouquet is always thrown in the face of a hated rival.

8. The reception hall must have a disco ball and at least one pair of matching go-go dancers.

9. The wedding singer is NOT allowed to play or sing: "Let's Hear it for the Boy", "It's Rainin' Men", or "I Will Survive."

10. The parents of the bottom has to pay for everything.

This cartoon made me laugh because its funny, but also because its true.
Since we're not taking a week-long vacation (again) this year, I have more vacation days than I have things to do with them. Since my company does not allow us to carry over unused vacation days from one year to another, I decided to take today off. I didn't have any client appointments and the weather forecast is for bright, sunny skies, very low humidity, and a high temperature of 82 degrees. So after walking Jordan the dog, I spent about 30 minutes pulling some weeds from the beds, sat on the porch and enjoyed a light breeze with my Mississippi Mud flavored coffee, and now I'm headed to the beach!

Happy hump day everyone!
