Welcome to Friday fragments, my weekly recap of topics too big to forget, yet too small to be their own post.
The offer I wrote last Sun for my clients from CT became ratified on Tuesday! That's ratified contract #4 for me. I am really enjoying my new career! No more counting the days until Fri.
Our longtime friends Mike & Clark and Ron & James are coming today for their annual weekend visit with us. They aren't particularly concerned with going to the beach (which is fine), so we usually just spend a lot of the weekend talking, eating, and enjoying each others company. I'm eager to see them again, and have arranged to get off work early on Sat and be off on Sun.
My friend Jared sent me this:
I can't believe I've never heard of this, but I just learned that there's a Cadillac parade in Leland VT this month. They are attempting to set a world record for the highest number of Cadillacs in a parade: at least 102. Sure wish Big Ella and I could be there!
Speaking of cars, my friend Kathryn knew I'd appreciate this story about the 40th anniversary of the Ford Pinto. Naturally I have a Pinto story too. A family friend had a powder blue Ford Pinto hatchback when I was about 14 years old. I kind of had a crush on her so 1 day when she came over to visit my family I offered to wash her car for her.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

OMFG, my first car was a powder blue ford pinto; my parents bought it for me for my high-school graduation present.
I think they had a death wish for me (exploding rear gas tank)...
can it be a week has passed already since I was at your place? unreal! check your mailbox for something special from me!
I love all the "whoops" text websites!
