About Sunday

Spouse & I had a wonderful, leisurely Sun morning, each watching the TV shows of our choice in separate rooms. Being a gay, I can't understand why he doesn't want to watch all the home decorating, renovating, remodeling, and flipping shows that are so popular with our people!

At noon we had a spot of lunch, then put the top down and headed over to Homo Depot. The rest of that gift card was burning a hole in our pockets. We picked up a hose, sprayer nozzle, and 6 petunias to plant in our 2 planters.

Once we got home we got to work. We potted the petunias in the 2 planters, watered them and the roses, salvia, and dianthus that Ray the yard guy planted for us recently, swept the entire wrap-around porch, and washed the 4 white wooden rocking chairs. The yard really looks great now!

We cleaned up a little then hopped back in the car for a lovely convertible ride. It was a pretty day and Spouse wanted to go to Milford to see 1964 Thunderbird for sale. We saw it (parked along side the street), then decided to hit our favorite discount store while in Milford.

After dinner we watched "Suddenly, Last Summer" with Elizabeth Taylor, Montgomery Clift, and Kathryn Hepburn. I liked it, but was a bit disappointed with Kathryn Hepburn's lack of accent. She's supposed to be this wealthy New Orleans socialite, and all the other characters at least attempt a southern accent, but not Miss Kate. Nope, she's just Kathryn Hepburn, like she always is. Although I'm not a huge fan of Liz Taylor, I did enjoy her performance in this film.
