'Tales of the Sissy' is a play on words related to Armistead Maupin's novel 'Tales of the City' which chronicles the daily lives of several seemingly unrelated people. Since my blog chronicles my daily life and I am gay (hence the stereotype 'sissy'), I decided to call my blog 'Tales of the Sissy'.
Interestingly I was having a conversation with the cashier at a Trader Joe's last night. We were talking about how retail, even if you're well treated, sucks.
Me - I don't work on weekends. That's a key point of my career. Not to say I didn't do my retail penance back in the day.
Working weekends can be a sad thing indeed. The only plus if you live in an area thats crowded with visitors on the weekends. Hubby works a weird schedule, 5 on and 5 off, but work is short handed at the present and he has worked 7 straight days, finally beginning tomorrow he has 5 off!
