Perspective

A friend could tell you "I broke my arm yesterday" and you might respond "Oh, that's terrible!"

Or a friend could tell you "I was in a 5-vehicle pile-up on the interstate yesterday. Two people died, but I broke my arm" and you might respond "Wow, you were really lucky!"

In both cases your friend's arm is broken, so why the opposite reactions? Perspective. Finding out the details or circumstances puts the broken arm into perspective.

Sometimes negative things happen to us andcan get us down. Often it helps to put these things into the proper perspective and keep a positive attitude.
