I explained the logarithmic nature of it. <br /><br />By a 3 unit, occupy one of them and rent the other two out. Accelerate the ever loving crap out of the mortgage so it's paid off in about 5 or 6 years (Tripling the payment per month will do that!) and then using the equity in that to buy another, and so on and so on. <br /><br />I told him ultimately within 10 years we could probably get up to about 30 units. Average rents around here run about $800 a month. So that would be income of $24,000 per month. Not too shabby. <br /><br />By golly it's what I'm going to do.
